About Us
Co-Workers Frank Interlandi and Katie Rooney met in 2000 while working in La Jolla-Frank was making sushi and Katie running operations. They forged a friendship and a desire to grow with the idea that sushi should be fun. They turned a love of catering into their first location, Sushi Lounge Poway in 2006, and developed a culture of fresh, informative sushi in a relaxed and local setting. Sushi Lounge then expanded to Encinitas in 2012 and Point Loma 2016, bringing our creative menu to the coast.
We are proud to support our communities through school and team sponsorships, fundraising for local charitable organizations, and championing for local needs.

Shelter to Soldier
They bring post-9/11 veterans together with trained, rescue dogs to help both recover and move forward.
Breast Cancer Angels
Their goal is to ensure that no breast cancer patient is forced to make the decision between treatment and food, allowing them to focus on their health, wellbeing, and time with friends and family.
Got Your Back San Diego
A weekend food assistance program dedicated to supporting children in our local schools who have been identified as at-risk due to food insecurity.
